Must read

BATANGAS CITY — Batangas just proved once again that local talent can shine on the national stage. Two Batangas State University–Alangilan graduates not only passed the November 2025 Chemical Engineers Licensure Examination (CELE) — they dominated it.

Leading the entire country is Abell Armamento Alcantara, who scored an impressive 90.30%, topping all 719 new chemical engineers. Following close behind is fellow Batangueño Johncel James Villalobos Dela Rosa, who clinched the 4th spot with 87.80%. Their achievement instantly put Batangas in the spotlight and sparked pride across the province.

BatStateU–Alangilan also delivered a standout performance: out of 89 examinees, 83.15% passed, earning the university a spot on the list of top-performing schools this year. For many young Batangueños aspiring to enter the engineering field, this year’s CELE is solid proof that world-class success is possible — kahit taga-Batangas ka, kaya mo makipagsabayan sa buong Pilipinas.

The wins of Alcantara and Villalobos Dela Rosa also highlight the strong engineering culture at Batangas State University – The National Engineering University. For decades, BatStateU has been known for producing topnotchers, engineers, innovators, and tech-driven graduates ready to take on real-world challenges. And this year’s CELE results just extend that legacy.

With their licenses now in hand, the new chemical engineers — including this year’s Batangueño topnotchers — are ready to bring their skills to industries, communities, and innovations that shape the future. Their success is a reminder to every young Batangueño: with passion, consistency, and the right support system, you can excel — and even lead — on the national stage.
