The Online Competition
The three round competition, held over 17 days from 28 May to 15 June, was conducted entirely over the BIGO Live app. The online event hosted over 100 performers including 35 solo artists, 28 duets, and 25 families. The performers ranged in age, following, and years of experience on the app. The competition depended on viewer interaction and the success of each performer was determined by their viewers’ virtual gift giving and real-time reactions. After three intense rounds, 14 performers including the top ten solo artists, first place duo, and leading family won the grand prize and the opportunity to showcase their talents at the Bigo Voice offline event.
