MPower, the retail electricity supply arm of the Manila Electric Company (Meralco), has officially renewed its strategic partnership with Okada Manila—one of the country’s leading luxury integrated resorts. The renewed agreement reflects a continued commitment to sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence.

The partnership was formalized during a signing ceremony held at Okada Manila in Parañaque City. Through this collaboration, MPower will continue to deliver a reliable and efficient electricity supply to Okada Manila’s 30-hectare property, which houses luxury accommodations, entertainment venues, and gaming areas.

“Delivering a seamless five-star experience means having access to dependable, sustainable energy,” said Byron Yip, President and Chief Operating Officer of Okada Manila. “MPower has been a key partner in helping us run our operations more efficiently while staying aligned with our sustainability goals. This partnership supports our long-term vision for growth, innovation, and environmental responsibility.”

Since first partnering in 2020, Okada Manila and MPower have worked closely to meet the resort’s evolving energy needs. The collaboration reflects a broader shift among future-focused businesses toward smarter, greener energy choices.

MPower continues to support companies navigating the competitive electricity market, offering flexible and cost-effective energy solutions that align with sustainability and business growth.

“Okada Manila’s decision to embrace the open electricity market and invest in sustainable practices is a step forward for the hospitality industry,” said Redel M. Domingo, Head of MPower. “We’re proud to power progress and demonstrate how strategic energy partnerships can support both economic development and environmental goals.”

As energy demands continue to grow, this renewed alliance highlights the role of trusted partnerships in helping forward-thinking businesses thrive in a rapidly changing world.| – TheMetroTimes.ph
