MPower, the retail electricity supplier (RES) of the Manuel V. Pangilinan-led Manila Electric Company (Meralco), has enabled more facilities of Mr. Freeze Tube Ice Inc. to benefit from the Retail Aggregation Program (RAP).
The undertaking, which builds on the existing strategic partnership between MPower and Mr. Freeze in 2025, covers four (4) additional ice plants in the Greater Manila Area which will continuously enjoy cost-efficient and reliable supply from MPower.
Earlier in November, Mr. Freeze consolidated the electricity demand of 27 of its ice plants in Metro Manila – a move that enabled the ice manufacturing company to maximize the benefits of the Competitive Retail Electricity Market (CREM).
“We value having an energy partner that not only supports our electricity needs but also empowers our business to grow,” said Mr. Freeze Founder and Chief Executive Officer Gerry Santos said.
Beyond its aggregation partnership with MPower, Mr. Freeze has maintained a longstanding collaboration with Meralco since 2005. The company was also the first recipient of the Luminary Award under the small-medium enterprise category in 2011.
“MPower is grateful for the continued trust that Mr. Freeze places in us. This inspires us to consistently go beyond expectations as we enhance the customer experience for all our partners,” Meralco Senior Vice President and MPower Head Redel M. Domingo.|
