PCG suspends voyages in Port San Juan

SAN JUAN, Batangas — IN relation to the published Tropical Cyclone Bulletin Nr 08 issued by PAGASA as of 09:00 AM, September 02, 2024, the Philippine Coast Guard – San Juan Sub Station temporarily suspends voyages of all vessels/watercrafts plying the route within the area of responsibility of Coast Guard Sub-station San Juan due to hoisting of Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 for Tropical Storm “Enteng over San Juan, Batangas.

In a Notice to Mariners, the station said the suspension aims at preventing the possible effect of the inclement weather to all vessels in accordance to the HPCG Memorandum Circular 02-23 entitled “Revised Guidelines on the Movement of Vessel During Heavy Weather” dated 23 March 2023.

“Further, all vessels are reminded to take precautionary measure and be extra vigilant in monitoring the movement of typhoon if deemed to be affected by said weather disturbance. Voyage of vessel will resume until further notice and upon improvement of weather and sea condition,” the notice continued.

However, vessels who intend to take shelter shall be permitted as long as it is manifested through a written request and no passenger/cargo will be allowed on board.| – BNN News Team
