1,438 seniors, tumanggap ng social pension sa Batangas City

BATANGAS City — Natanggap na ng 1,438 indigent senior citizens sa lungsod ang kanilang social pension noong June 1.  

Ito ay programa sa ilalim ng  Deparment Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) kung saan   binigyan sila ng halagang P1,000 kada buwan o kabuuang P6,000 para sa buwan ng Enero hanggang Hunyo.

Ang tanggapan ng City Council for the Elderly (CCE) ang siyang nangasiwa sa pagtukoy ng mga beneficiaries.

Katuwang ng DSWD sa pamamahagi  ang mga kawani ng City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), City Treasurer’s Office (CTO),  Defense & Security Service (DSS), City Health Office (CHO) at Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA)

Tiniyak naman ng lokal na pamahalaan na magpapatuloy ang pakikipag-ugnayan sa national government  upang masigurong maipaabot ang mga programa nito sa mga indigent senior citizens ng lungsod.| – PIO Batangas City
