Consumers could see mixed movements in domestic pump prices next week, with gasoline and kerosene projected to become more expensive while diesel could post a rollback.
Department of Energy Oil Industry Management Bureau Director Rino Abad said gasoline prices could rise by as much as P1.50 per liter, while kerosene could increase by up to P2 per liter.
Diesel prices, meanwhile, could fall by as much as P1 per liter.
Abad said the preliminary estimates reflected the average movement of international oil prices during the first four trading days of the week.
The possible adjustments follow substantial reductions implemented on Sept. 29. Oil companies cut gasoline prices by P0.24 per liter, diesel by P7.57 and kerosene by P5.85.
The rollback came after three consecutive weeks of increases that pushed cumulative price hikes to P15.25 per liter for gasoline, P18.31 for diesel and P16.67 for kerosene.
Abad said the projected adjustments remain subject to change as international oil prices continue to move and geopolitical developments unfold.| BNN Integrated News
