A lucky bettor from Imus City became an instant millionaire after winning the ₱24.16-million jackpot in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Lotto 6/42 draw on Saturday night.
In an advisory released Sunday, the PCSO said the winning combination was 12-18-03-17-05-08.
The winner has one year to personally claim the prize at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City.
Under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, lotto prizes exceeding ₱10,000 are subject to a 20-percent tax deduction.
Aside from the jackpot winner, 145 bettors also won ₱7,586.20 each after correctly guessing five out of the six winning numbers. Meanwhile, 3,461 players won ₱288.93 each for four correct digits, while over 38,000 bettors will receive ₱20 each for matching three numbers.
The Lotto 6/42 draw is conducted every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Melquiades Robles encouraged the public to continue supporting PCSO games, noting that revenues help fund health programs, medical assistance, and various charitable initiatives nationwide.|
