BATANGAS CITY — The project team of Pueblo de Oro Development Corporation (PDO) recently spearheaded a tree-planting activity at Pueblo de Oro Westwoods Heights in Brgy. Tingga Itaas, underscoring the developer’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship within its residential communities. Team members and partners gathered on Monday, March 30, to plant pine trees across the development, an initiative designed to preserve green spaces and reinforce environmental awareness among the growing population of the community.

Pueblo de Oro Westwoods Heights is a master-planned residential community spanning approximately 13 hectares. Offering more than 500 house-and-lot units alongside open lots, the development is characterized by its integration of landscaped open areas, pocket parks, and a central green space meticulously designed to encourage outdoor activity and community interaction.

The recent activity reflects Pueblo de Oro’s broader philosophy of integrating sustainability directly into community planning. Projects like Westwoods Heights are engineered with significant open spaces and recreational amenities that maintain ecological balance while supporting active lifestyles. Approximately 40 percent of the development’s total area is dedicated to roads, parks, and other open spaces, which enhances both the environmental quality and the overall livability for its residents.

Our legacy is building communities, and our future is ensuring they remain green and sustainable,” said John Vincent Rapiz, Vice President for Sales and Marketing of Pueblo de Oro. “Activities such as tree planting reflect our commitment to creating communities that grow responsibly while providing long-term value for homeowners.

As Batangas continues to emerge as a vital regional economic center, developments that prioritize green spaces and responsible land use are becoming essential to sustainable urban growth. Through these localized initiatives, Pueblo de Oro aims to demonstrate how modern residential developments can successfully balance environmental responsibility with long-term community value.

For over thirty years, Pueblo de Oro Development Corporation has been developing quality mixed-use townships and residential projects across the Philippines. With a presence in Cagayan de Oro, Pampanga, Cebu, and several key cities in Batangas, the developer has earned numerous accolades, including being named one of the “Developers of the Decade – Mindanao” by the Chamber of Real Estate & Builders’ Associations, Inc. (CREBA) for its pioneering 400-hectare township.|
