SM City Sto. Tomas became a hub for fire safety awareness as the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Batangas held its Fire Square Roadshow at the mall on March 12, 2026. The event gathered shoppers, families, and students for a day filled with engaging activities aimed at promoting fire prevention and emergency preparedness in the community.
The Fire Square Roadshow featured a variety of interactive exhibits and fire safety demonstrations, allowing participants to learn practical tips on preventing fires and responding effectively during emergencies. Guests had the opportunity to explore fire safety equipment displays, participate in educational activities, and gain valuable knowledge that could help save lives.
One of the highlights of the event was the special meet-and-greet with the Fire Safety Ambassadors, who shared important reminders about staying alert and prepared for fire-related incidents. The ambassadors also encouraged the public to practice safety measures at home, in schools, and in workplaces.
The initiative forms part of the Bureau of Fire Protection’s continued efforts to strengthen community awareness and promote a culture of safety, especially during Fire Prevention Month. Through partnerships with institutions like SM Supermalls, the campaign reaches more people in accessible public spaces where learning can be both informative and engaging.
SM City Sto. Tomas remains committed to supporting programs that promote safety, awareness, and community resilience. By hosting activities like the Fire Square Roadshow, the mall continues to provide meaningful spaces where the public can learn, engage, and work together in building safer communities.|
