BATANGAS — A minor phreatic eruption from Taal Volcano Island’s Main Crater at 12:39 PM today, 26 September 2024, was captured by the thermal and IP cameras of the Daang Kastila Observation Station (VTDK) and the Buco, Talisay (VTBC) IP Camera at Taal Volcano Observatory (TVO).
Locally called as “pusngat,” the event produced a 2,400-meter high eruption plume that drifted northwest. Alert Level 1 prevails over Taal Volcano.|
