Aboitiz Football Cup Marks 25 Years of Grassroots Passion at LIMA Estate

Must read

Lipa-Malvar, Batangas — The country’s longest-running grassroots football tournament, the Aboitiz Football Cup, kicks off its 25th year at LIMA Estate, celebrating a quarter-century of uniting communities through sport.

Following its silver season launch in Cebu, the Luzon leg will bring the action to Batangas and Tarlac, hosted by Aboitiz Economic Estates. The Batangas games run every weekend from November 22 to December 13 at the Aboitiz Pitch, South Luzon’s largest artificial turf. The Tarlac leg follows on November 29–30 at Don Bosco Tarlac, near the rising TARI Estate industrial hub.

For 25 years, the tournament has helped young athletes build skill, discipline, and character—values that extend beyond the field. Its annual football clinics give children from host communities a chance to train with professionals and grow in confidence.

Aligned with Aboitiz Group’s sustainability goals, this year’s Cup continues its Wasteless Campaign, promoting responsible waste management during events.

“The Aboitiz Football Cup is more than a tournament—it’s a celebration of community,” said Chino Zamora, AVP for Luzon Operations at Aboitiz Economic Estates.

“For the past 25 years, we’ve seen young players grow to represent the country,” added Rely San Agustin, President of RSA1 Sports Group.

As it marks its silver milestone, the Aboitiz Football Cup remains a symbol of purpose and partnership—empowering young Filipinos to play, learn, and lead with heart.| – BNN Integrated News
