Ex-Cavite Police Director named acting Spokesperson of PNP Chief

Former Cavite Provincial Police Office director Marlon Santos has been designated as acting spokesperson of Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., the Philippine National Police announced.

As acting spokesperson, Santos will relay the directives, policies, and official positions of the PNP chief to the public and media while helping strengthen communication on police operations, reforms, and key programs.

Santos also currently serves as senior police assistant to the ex officio commissioner of the National Police Commission (Napolcom), where he assists in advancing reforms focused on accountability, discipline, and strategic communication.

Before his latest appointment, Santos served as provincial director of Cavite police and previously headed the regional field units of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Regions 4A and 7.

In a statement, Santos thanked the PNP leadership and Napolcom for the trust given to him and vowed to continue providing “fast, honest, and compassionate” public service.

Meanwhile, Rafael Vicente Calinisan expressed confidence that Santos would help strengthen public trust in the police organization through credible and people-centered communication.|
