MANILA, PHILIPPINES — In commemoration of World Heart Day (WHD) 2026, Golden Fiesta Canola Oil—the most prescribed canola oil by doctors in the country—partnered with the Philippine Heart Center (PHC) and other leading hospitals for the G.O.L.D.E.N. Movement, a nationwide series of activities aimed at raising awareness and promoting heart health.
Guided by this year’s WHD theme, “Heart disease can hide in plain sight: Don’t miss a beat!” Golden Fiesta’s G.O.L.D.E.N. Movement highlights six practical reminders for a healthy heart:
- Get Checked Regularly — Monitor one’s health and track vital cardiovascular indicators.
- Optimize Nutrition — Make informed dietary choices and cook with heart-healthy oils that support cardiovascular wellness.
- Lead an Active Life — Engage in consistent physical movement and exercise.
- Detect Risks Early — Recognize warning signs before they escalate.
- Embrace Healthy Habits — Weave cardiovascular care into daily routines.
- Nourish Your Heart — Commit to continuous, well-rounded wellness practices.
Brand Manager for UFC Golden Fiesta Ina Nocheseda explains the partnership with PHC:
“Promoting heart health is a collective responsibility that requires strong institutional partnerships and deep community-level engagement. Our collaboration with the Philippine Heart Center this World Heart Day reflects NutriAsia’s unwavering commitment to building a healthier nation. By meeting Filipinos where they are, we are fostering sustainable heart-healthy habits that will protect generations of Filipino families to come.”
Camille Santos, Consumer Lifestage Manager for NutriAsia, shares the idea behind the G.O.L.D.E.N. Movement:
“Golden Fiesta takes its distinction as the most prescribed canola oil by doctors in the Philippines seriously. For us, this is a call to go beyond retail shelves and traditional marketing to help bring heart health awareness to everyday Filipinos. With our G.O.L.D.E.N. Movement, we are bringing free screenings, medical consultations, and heart-health education directly to communities and hospitals nationwide. Through this initiative, we empower consumers to take charge of their well-being.”
The G.O.L.D.E.N. Movement officially kicked off at the Angeles University Foundation (AUF) Medical Center on September 15, offering participants free blood pressure testing and screenings, nutrition counseling, an engaging Tai Chi session, and samples of Golden Fiesta Canola Oil. From there, the campaign traveled across hospitals in the National Capital Region, Region III (Central Luzon), Region IV-A (CALABARZON), and Region XI (Davao Region), before culminating on September 29 at the Philippine Heart Center.
At the final stop, attendees joined a series of insightful sessions where medical experts discussed the importance of cardiovascular health and the risks of poor lifestyle habits. Helping drive home the message of mindful eating was Chef Ruben, a board member of the Hotel and Restaurant Chefs Association of the Philippines (HRCAP), who shared practical tips on daily heart-healthy nutrition and making smart choices right in the kitchen.
Throughout its run, the G.O.L.D.E.N. Movement demonstrated how simple yet meaningful lifestyle adjustments—from committing to regular health checkups to choosing heart-healthy essentials like Golden Fiesta Canola Oil for everyday meals—can make a profound difference. As the campaign concludes, it leaves behind a powerful reminder: empowering Filipino families to live long, vibrant, and heart-healthy lives and protecting future generations starts with the simple choices we make today.
