Getting help with birth registration became easier for residents of Barangay Lumbang Calzada in Calaca City.
A Quick-Capture BRAP Barangay Gathering was held on July 30, bringing the Birth Registration Assistance Project closer to residents who needed help with their applications.
A total of 24 applicants were assisted during the activity.
Among them were six senior citizens and eight applicants identified as OOT, highlighting the program’s focus on making government assistance accessible to priority and vulnerable sectors.
Women also made up most of the participants, with 18 female applicants compared with six male applicants.
Instead of requiring residents to travel to government offices, the barangay-based activity provided on-site assistance, making the application process more convenient for the community.
The initiative also showed how local government units and government agencies can work together to bring services directly to residents.
For communities where transportation, mobility or other circumstances can make government transactions difficult, bringing services closer to the people can make a real difference.
The successful activity in Lumbang Calzada reflects the continuing push to make the BRAP program more accessible, efficient and inclusive—one barangay at a time.| BNN Integrated News
