CALAMBA, Laguna — The Department of Labor and Employment will monitor establishments’ compliance with CALABARZON’s new minimum wage rates, which provide daily increases of up to ₱45 effective October 26, 2026.
Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentino said DOLE Regional Office No. 4A would closely oversee implementation of Wage Order No. IVA (CALABARZON)-23.
The order sets adjustments according to industry sector and municipality classification. The official wage schedule details the applicable rates for each category.
According to the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC), more than 1.56 million minimum wage earners in the region are expected to benefit.
The CALABARZON Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board and the NWPC approved the rates through a process involving labor, employer and government representatives.
The decision followed a review and evaluation of regional socio-economic conditions, as mandated by Republic Act No. 6727, or the Wage Rationalization Act.
The announcement describes the maximum daily adjustment as equivalent to ₱1,170 monthly. Actual increases depend on the sector and municipal category covered by the order.
Tolentino, who also chairs the NWPC, said monitoring would help ensure strict compliance and effective implementation of wage policies across the region.| BNN Integrated News
