THIS pandemic has relatively transform our lives. We can’t go out of our premises without wearing our mask, and to some extent, wear a face shield, body temperature are always checked, sanitize our hands with alcohol or alcogel, and in some cases, we are asked to wash our hands at the entrance of the premises we are entering.
Meanwhile, as the government slowly relaxes the quarantine level in the provinces, dining in restaurants are allowed now, although still with some level of restrictions. Only al fresco dining is allowed to a certain capacity level.
Thinking that this will make sure that customers are safe from the spread of corona virus disease, SM Malls have easily transform their open areas outdoors into al fresco dining spaces.
Experts note that open-air locations decrease the chances of the COVID-19 virus spreading.
In South Luzon, SM City Batangas has converted some open areas at the opposite sides of the mall and the big space at the main entrance into dine-in areas for their customers. Customers waiting for their companions or simply visiting the mall may have their long-awaited ‘kain sa labas’ (outdoor dining) at these al fresco set up.
