Must read

AP Renewables Inc. (APRI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of AboitizPower recently turned over a newly-furnished health center and brand-new healthcare tools to Brgy. San Jose and Brgy. San Vicente, Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

The donation involved new sets of healthcare equipment such as a foldaway stretcher, oxygen tank with regulator, manual sterilizer, first aid cabinet, forehead/thermal scanner, surgical scissor, and refrigerator for medicine, and standard wheelchairs, and other office-related equipment that would ease up the daily lives of their barangay health workers.

This initiative is one of APRI’s ways to address the problems on community health, further supporting the global sustainable development goal. With the medical tools donated, 34,096  residents will be able to access quality and improved healthcare services from these barangays.

San Vicente Brgy. Chairman Domingo Carpio expressed, “Kami po ay tuwang-tuwa na sa tulong na maipapamahagi namin sa aming mga ka-barangay. Sa mga donated equipment na ito, mas maraming tao ang aming mapaglilingkuran.”

On the other hand, shared San Jose Committee on Chair Councilor Melinda A. Helera said, “Lubos pong natutuwa ang mga nadayo sa center lalo na ngayong panahon ng tag-init. Tuwang tuwa sila dahil may aircon na at di na sila maiinitan sa papacheck up lalong lalo na at maraming magpapaturok ng bakuna ngayong panahon na ito.”

The newly-furnished health center will not only help the barangay health workers in providing services efficiently,  but it will also give ease to the residents who are seeking medical attention.

The Adopt-a-Health Center project is an initiative that aims to help the host communities in providing proper healthcare to its residents through the provision of medicines and medical tools to the barangay health clinic, and refurbishment of their health facility.|
