CALABARZON in hightened quarantine levels; Batangas in GCQ with hightened restrictions

BATANGAS City — TO effectively control the spread of corona virus and make the hard quarantine level of ECQ (enhanced community quarantine) in the National Capital Region (NCR) more efficient, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte approved the recommendation of the National IATF to adjust the quarantine status of some CALABARZON provinces effective Friday, August 6.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the province of Laguna, Iloilo City and Cagayan de Oro City were placed under ECQ starting August 6 until August 15, 2021.

Meanwhile, placed under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) from August 6 to August 15, 2021 are the provinces of Cavite and Rizal, and Lucena City in the CALABARZON, and Iloilo Province in Western Visayas.

However, Batangas and Quezon provinces, on the other hand, shall be placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions from August 6 to August 15, 2021.| – Joenald Medina Rayos
