Lipa archbishop backs rigid vocation campaign

Must read

THE Gospel according to St. Matthew (9:37-38) reads: “The harvest is [indeed] plentiful, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”

In celebration of the Vocation Month this August, His Excellency, Gilbert Garcera, D.D. archbishop of Lipa, asked the pastors in all parishes in the archdiocese to allow and give ample time to the different congregations and institutes of religious men and women in conducting vocation campaign and recruit aspirants to the priesthood and religious life.

The campaign also coincides with the celebration of the feast day of St. John Marie Vianney, the Cure d’Ars and patron of all parish priests.

While the vocation promoters from different religious congregations, institutes and seminaries prepare for their campaign, the good archbishop implore the aid and intercessions of Our Lady of Caysasay, our Queen and Mother, and of St. Joseph, the patron Saint of the Archdiocese for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life.| – BNN
