Various flights cancelled due to TS Kristine – CAAP

As of October 23, 2024, 9:00 AM, the following airports have cancelled flights, according to the 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐀𝐀𝐏-𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 released by CAAP.

Although BIA remains operational, no airline personnel from both Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines have been able to report for duty due to impassable roads leading to the airport. Air assets for relief and rescue operation could be accommodated.

Virac Airport

Light to moderate rain and winds continue in the area. No significant damage has been observed during inspections of airport facilities.

Tacloban Airport

Diverted flights back to Manila yesterday:

5J 653 – with 165 affected passengers

5J 654 – with 167 affected passengers

Passengers who opted to remain at the airport were accommodated inside the terminal building and provided with refreshments.

Laoag International Airport

Masbate Airport

Commercial flight in Masbate Airport was cancelled in advance.
