MANILA – Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and House Speaker Faustino Bojie Dy III on Thursday led the inspection and inauguration of key postharvest facilities in Isabela, underscoring the government’s push to boost agricultural productivity and farmers’ incomes.
Dy said the newly inaugurated facilities—including the Ambatali Warehouse and drying pavement, as well as an onion cold storage facility—will help improve post-harvest handling, reduce spoilage, and stabilize supply.
“Hindi lang po ito pagbubukas ng mga pasilidad—ito ay pagbubukas ng oportunidad para sa mas maliwanag na kinabukasan ng ating mga magsasaka,” Dy said.

He credited President Marcos for prioritizing agriculture, noting that the administration’s “whole-of-government approach” is key to achieving food security and economic stability.
Dy also recognized the efforts of Francisco Kiko Tiu Laurel Jr. and the Department of Agriculture in implementing farmer-focused programs.
The facilities are expected to speed up the transport of agricultural products from farms to markets, minimize losses, and extend the shelf life of produce—especially onions—helping address price volatility.

“Sa pamamagitan ng mga proyektong ito, mas mapapabilis ang pagdadala ng ani mula bukid patungong pamilihan at mababawasan ang pagkalugi,” Dy added.
He emphasized that the initiative signals sustained government support for farmers, whom he described as “quiet heroes” ensuring food on every Filipino table.
Dy assured continued legislative backing for programs that expand agricultural infrastructure and strengthen long-term support for farming communities.
