Must read

On March 13 – May 31, the Philippine Statistics Authority is currently conducting geotagging of service facilities, infrastructure and other structures/resources in selected barangays of CALABARZON.

Said villages were those covered by the PSA-funded CBMS undertaken by the following LGUs namely: Balete, San Nicolas, Santa Teresita, and Tingloy in Batangas; General Emilio Aguinaldo in Cavite; Famy, Mabitac, Pakil, and Rizal in Laguna; Agdangan, Alabat, Jomalig, Patnanungan, Perez, Plaridel, Quezon, Sampaloc, and City of Tayabas in Quezon.

However, for participating LGU funded CBMS, geotagging and processing of CBMS Form 5 will be conducted on July 03-September 30, 2023.

The Service facilities, infrastructure and other structures/resources to be geotagged were listed using the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Form 5. The geotagging operation aims to gather accurate and relevant spatial and non-spatial (attribute) (i.e. Location and Name of institution etc.) data of existing service institutions and infrastructure, and government projects located in and within the vicinity of barangays.

It also aims to geotag and digitize the above-mentioned features/structures into corresponding point, line, and/or polygon features; and to produce a listing of the aforementioned features and structure maps and to generate maps using the collected information for subsequent planning, program implementation, and impact monitoring for economic development and poverty alleviation.

PSA CALABARZON again ask for the support of the local government officials and cooperation of the public to this important undertaking.|
