PATROLMAN Nikke Brotonel, whose house was destroyed by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name Trami) in November officially received his new home in Barangay Leviste, in Laurel, Batangas.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil led the turnover ceremony for Brotonel’s new home on Monday, underscoring the PNP’s commitment to ensuring the welfare and well-being of its personnel during challenging times.

“This newly constructed home is a testament to the Bayanihan (cooperation) spirit that binds the PNP family. When challenges arise, we stand united—proving that no storm can dampen our resolve to support one another,” Marbil said.

“As we hand over this home, let it serve as a sanctuary of love and hope for the Brotonel family, and as a symbol of our collective commitment to service, compassion, and solidarity,” he added.

Brotonel thanked the PNP leadership, including Calabarzon Regional Director Brig. Gen. Lucas, and “for everyone who made this possible.”

“This new home is more than just a house; it’s a symbol of hope and recovery for my family,” he said.

The newly constructed house features complete electrical and water systems, a tiled bathroom, a fully functional kitchen, and essential living spaces, ensuring it is move-in ready.
